The Evolution of Irrelevant Society
Hello to our amazing community! Today, we’re thrilled to share some momentous news that has been brewing behind the scenes. Earlier this year, Irrelevant Society underwent new ownership and was acquired by Dan Le, the owner behind fundraising charity, Sustainabros. Although Dan has been a friend and supporter of Irrelevant Society for many years, he never expected that he would be the eventual successor of the brand.
At the helm of this cherished brand, Dan is committed to both upholding its existing legacy and crafting a fresh narrative that steers Irrelevant Society toward a new chapter defined by compassion, purpose, and advocacy. We believe that everyone has the right to live free from fear and violence, and we want to do our part to make that a reality. That’s why we will continue to donate 20% of our profits to organisations that work to stop violence against women.
Our mission doesn’t stop there. Irrelevant Society is also devoted to producing mindful and ethically-crafted clothing, attestable through our unwavering decision to partner with suppliers who champion sustainable manufacturing processes, reduce our environmental footprint and advance equitable labour practices.
The journey ahead is undoubtedly shaped by the extraordinary foundation established by the former owner, Ie Erlina. Sharing some words of wisdom, she says,
“It is now time for me to sign off. I thank every person I’ve met and every friend I made. To my friends and family, I’m sure a mere ‘thank you’ is never enough. You’ve put your time and prayers to believe in my crazy idea. You chose to walk with me. Irrelevant Society will always be a part of a special journey and I’m glad that I took that first step to breathe this idea into life”.
We’re beyond excited to embark on this new chapter with you and grateful for your continued trust and support. By being a part of our community, you’re leaving a positive imprint on the world by celebrating ethical practices, empowering women, and protecting the environment.
